What is an organized space?+

A complete storage and organization area designed as a room with a job — a walk-in or reach-in closet, a pantry, a mudroom, a laundry room, a dressing area or a linen space. We plan what goes in it, who uses it and how it should work, then design the shelving, drawers, hanging and accessories around that.

Is this just closet shelving?+

No. Shelving is one component. What we design is organization: a plan for what you own, how often you use it and how you want to reach it, built from shelving, drawers, hanging systems, shoe storage, hampers, baskets and accessories, in finishes and hardware chosen for the room. The goal is a space that works every day.

How is this different from your cabinetry?+

Cabinetry is the cabinets and everything built into or around them — drawer organizers, pull-outs, spice and tray storage, vanity interiors. Organized Spaces are whole rooms given over to storage: closets, pantries, mudrooms and laundry rooms. The two overlap, and many projects include both, designed together by the same team.

Can an organized space be a project on its own?+

Yes. A walk-in closet, a pantry, a mudroom or a laundry room can be its own project. Organization is also designed into our kitchen and bathroom renovations — a pantry beside a new kitchen, or a closet adjoining a primary bathroom. Either way, it starts with a consultation and a measurement of the space.

Will I see the design before it is built?+

Yes. Organized spaces go through the same design process as the rest of the home: we measure the room, build it to scale, configure the shelving, drawers and hanging, and show it to you in 3D. Layouts and components are refined on screen, where changes cost nothing, before anything is ordered.

How much does a custom closet or pantry cost?+

It depends on the size of the space, the system and components you choose, and how much of it is drawers, baskets and accessories versus shelving and hanging. Because every space is different, we quote each project rather than publishing a price list. A consultation gets you a real number with the design that goes with it.

Do you design mudrooms and laundry rooms?+

Yes. Mudrooms and laundry rooms are often where a house works hardest and is organized least. We design benches, cubbies, hooks, shoe storage, cabinets, counters, hanging and hampers around the machines, the entry and the family using them, so those rooms become as organized as the rest of the home.

Do you organize garages?+

Yes. Garage organization is part of Cali Craft Organized Spaces. We design cabinets, shelving, wall storage and hooks around the tools, sports gear and bulk supplies that live there, so the garage becomes as organized and usable as the rest of the home. Like every organized space, it starts with a consultation and a measurement of the room.

Whichever one suits the space. Cali Craft Organized Spaces is built on more than one system behind the scenes — a streamlined line for straightforward closets and a fully custom system for larger walk-ins, pantries, mudrooms, laundry rooms and garages.
